PRELIMINARY RESULTS OF INFOSECURITY RUSSIA 2006:

  • The total number of visitors at exhibitions and conferences Infosecurity Russia, Storage Expo, Documation, LinuxWorld: more than 4800 experts

  • Attendances (including repeated attendance on the 2nd and 3d days of the exhibitions): 5263

  • The number of exhibitors at Infosecurity Russia 2006: 95 (total – 161)

  • The number of foreign exhibitors at Infosecurity Russia: 7 (USA, Germany, UK, Czech Republic)

  • Total floor space (net) – 3748 sqm

  • Total exhibition space for Infosecurity Russia, Storage Expo, Documation - 1693,75 sqm

  • 2500 experts from Russia, CIS and foreign countries took part in Infosecurity conference during three days

  • 14 round-table meetings and discussions, 9 sections, 45 presentations and 8 vendor seminars were held within Infosecurity Russia conference

Presentations held by world famous figures in the field of Information Security: Dr. Carolyn Turbyfill (Ex-Director of Engineering at the Internet Commerce Group at Sun Microsystems; Vice-president at Counterpane Internet Security), Marñ Thomson (the Senior Vice President of the (ISC)? Institute, A.V. Galitsky (consulting; the President of European Tech Tour Russian 2004 in Russia), foreign representatives: McAfee, RSA Security, OMNIKEY, Websense Inc, Aladdin Knowledge Systems, SurfControl and other companies.

Presentations held by Heads of State Departments and State Agencies: Security Council of the Russian Federation, the Ministry for Communication and Informatization of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, Central Bank of Russia, FSTEK, FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, heads of Security Departments of the Russian leading holding companies: ÎÀÎ "Sviazintek", ÎÀÎ "RZD" (Russia Railway), ÎÀÎ "GMK "Norilsky nikel", and others., heads of industry FSUE: "Concern "Systemprom"; major analytical agencies and associations, leading subject mass media.

Special attention of visitors was concentrated on the following round-table meetings: "What an Information Security Expert should be like? ", "Quantitative and Qualitative Methods of Risk Assessment in the Domain of Information Security. Risk Management in Real Conditions of Corporate Information Systems", sections: "Fundamental Principles of Information Security – for the Beginners"; "Cooperation of I Divisions and IS service: How to Solve the Conflict of IS and IT Departments"; the following presentations: "Experience in building up a complex system of antivirus protection" (Timur Sabitov, Polikom Pro), "Websense: modern Web Threats and Protection Technologies" (Franka Paul, Websense Inc).

"Vendor Seminars" room where companies IBM, Jet Infosystems, Doctor Web, Kaspersky Lab, and Open Technologies presented their solutions and products gathered more than 200 people over three days.
